Blindness

Politics. It is everywhere, right now. I have heard it said that this will be the most important election of our lives. At first I believed it. I would believe it if there was a viable alternative. I'm tired of hearing about the faith of the candidates, when all they really talk about is their religion. I'm tired of hearing about the plans, or where they stand, when they never have a solution. I'm tired of the catch phrases and buzz words, when they never say what they mean. Now, I often ask myself why there are no alternatives. Ever ask yourself that? I truly believe that a candidate who had no party affiliation and could generate some financial backing would go far. Wait, we HAD that in Ross Perot.
Think what you will, but there is a lot to learn from that situation. From my point of view, he sabotaged his own campaign. Kinda funny, really. I look back and wonder if he didn't come under some serious pressure. I can imagine someone asking him (in so many words), "Is being president worth your life? Or the life of someone close to you?" Maybe I'm paranoid (Not an X-files fan, in case you were wondering). People don't really stop and think about how much money flows INTO Washington D.C., but doesn't flow out. Billions. Would you kill for a few billion dollars? You know what? I'd have to think about it. What makes George W. Bush any different? Dick Cheney? John Kerry? Ross got my vote, nigga...Ross got my vote, fo' sho'.

Me, too!

Ok, this is my blog, because I don't want to state more personal things on Justin's, since his is a flatland site. I want my own blog so that I don't have to hold back. I totally respect Justin and wouldn't want to offend him or cause problems, since he took a HUGE chance by allowing me to blog with him. HEHEHEHEHE.
